Syphilis is a bacterial infection. It's pretty serious. Left untreated, it can lead to brain damage and then, ultimately, death. Symptoms usually start with a sore, called a "chancre," which is a firm, painless ulcer on the skin. Later, in the secondary phase, you typically get a rash and can have a sore throat, fever, weight loss, headache, and swelling of the lymph nodes. Treatment is pretty simply -- antibiotics. See your doctor ASAP if you suspect you have been exposed to this STD.

Syphilis is a sexually transmitted disease (STD) caused by the bacterium Treponema pallidum. It has often been called “the great imitator” because so many of the signs and symptoms are indistinguishable from those of other diseases.

You really need to read up on syphilis and what it does to your body.

When you contract it, by haveing unprotected sex, a small and painless pimple will appear on your genitiles. After a few days, it will go away and you may think it is over. It is NOT!!! After the obvious symptoms, it will begin to destroy organs of your body.....specifically the brain. Too makle a long story short, it will slowly eat you up.

Don't dismiss a pimple on you gentiles a few days after unprotected sex!! Good luck. Pops
