if there are no lesions or warts , how do you stop the virus from being active?

there really is no treatment for HPV. There is a new vaccine that has been approved to prevent HPV in women (who have NOT been exposed to HPV), but to date there are no studies in preventing HPV in men by vaccine. In women, "high risk" HPV is the virus that can cause cervical cancer. And men can spread HPV to women, but there is no treatment. Condoms may help to prevent transmission. "Low risk" HPV can cause genital warts, but if there are no lesions there is no treatment and no way to stop the virus from being active.

Men can help by supporting their partners to go for regular "PAP's" Cervical cancer is easily preventable by regular gynecologic check ups. There is NO reason for a woman to die from cervical cancer, unless she does not get a check-up for many years. So, if a man is aware that he's been exposed to HPV he should encourage his partner to go for routine check-ups. That is the best that he can do.

The only treatment for hpv is by having the genital warts frozen off, or by using a cream and by taking care of your health to keep a strong immune system. If there are no warts or lesions there is nothing you can do, they say it's in your system forever, just that the lesions make you very contagious. Without the lesions you are less contagious, and most likely the virus is dormant, that does not mean though that you can not pass along the virus to someone else.

You can try a few orl medications, but for the most part it can come back at any time without warning. Try to keep yourself clean, and look for any warts.

There is no treatment for HPV. Occasionally, your body may clear the virus, but it will always be in your system and may reactivate when you're under a lot of stress.

There is no treatment for that. If you do have warts they remove them and I read that laser removal has lower incidence of recurrence.
