Japanese has a lot of words that come from other languages. Lucky for you, 'milk' is essentially the same as in English-- with one exception: It's said with Japanese pronounciation.

The spelling in the above answer is made up of 3 letters: Mi-ru-ku. If you're trying to order it in a Japanese restaurant, that's what you need to say, as the English pronounciation ("milk"), probably won't be understood as well. If you stick to saying "Mi-ru-ku" (like ME-roo-koo), then that should work.

Incidentally, this is a similar case for beer, which in Japanese is "BEE-ru".

Happy drinking!
