I need a doctor's serious opinion on this question.

I have been married to my husband for the last 13 years, and we have been faithful to each other in all the time we have known each other, yet somehow, somewhere, we keep contracting STD's. (I know, you're probably thinking that one of us had been unfaithful somewhere along the line, and didn't tell the other one, but I know my husband, and he knows me, and we haven't. My husband is tooooo busy with work and his hobbies to cheat on me, and I am a terrible liar, so I couldn't cheat on him without having a serious anxiety attack.)

At one point early in our marriage, we did separate for a short while, and I lived in a homeless shelter with our son. One night, I missed him so much, and I was masturbating on the bed in my room. I'm thinking that, maybe something from the sheets got into me, and manifested itself, which brought on the first STD (chlamydia). Is that medically and physically possible? Thank you for your input.

If U are sure of the honesty, no need of questioning it.
The disease MAY be contracted WITHOUT dishonesty to the partner. Please go thro' the link and explain this to yourself.

No it is not possible to get chlamydia from bed sheets. Chlamydia is a bacterial infection and once on the sheets of the bed it cannot survive because it is not in the right environment (temperature, moisture, etc). Most bacteria have to be at a certain temperature (usually around body temp) for them to be able to maintain life. Really, the only STD that you could get without having sexual relations is trichamonas (usually get it from toilet seats).

I dont think that is possiable but I will tell you that I saw this on Oprah you can get some STD's (not sure on which ones) from using a hot tub in a hotel because they dont clean them that good which to me means that you might get them from swimming in a public pool. I would check with a doctor but make sure you are talking to a doctor who knows what they are talking about. A lot of doctors dont know that much about STD's

SP is correct; it is not possible to get chlamydia from sheets. It would be a very good idea to go to the doctor and get the whole battery of STD testing done - some STD's can cause infertility if left untreated for a period of time.

No its not possible to get chlamydia from sheets. There are STD's that can take years to manifest such as herpes or genital warts but even though you may not be showing symptoms you can still pass the disease on to another person. I would talk to your physician. This sounds suspicious to me.

You can get STD's from cuts and blood. Maybe your husband got a flu shot or so?

If you have chlamydia, Go see a docter or you may develop cancer.

You could of got it from an open cut, touching infected substances. It is possible.

I am not a doctor, but in order to find out and know that the answer is correct, why don't you go to yahoo homepage and do a google search on medical questions or simply call your local health deptartment? It would be safer.

It sounds like one of your husband's "hobbies" that keeps him so busy, is screwing things up!! Sorry, but that's my opinion!!! Never heard of being able to contract STD's from sheets!!

STD: sexually transmitted disease.
Chlamydia can be transmitted during vaginal, anal, or oral sex. Chlamydia can also be passed from an infected mother to her baby during vaginal childbirth.
so..? i think the honesty is the question.
