You are not a diabetic and your fasting glucose is OK although I would check it once a month as given your family history you are certainly at risk for diabetes. There are very exciting treatment options today that were not available for your parents and new things are on the horizon. Your Coca Cola habit is not 'good' but 3 liters per week is not 'bad' and consuming gluocse does not lead to diabetes anyway. Your habits are great but you did not mention your weight or exercise. If you are overweight please try to lose weight and if you do not exercise I would certainly advise you to start. Best wishes and happy holidays.

Coke (reg. not diet) has high fructose corn syrup. That stuff is bad for you it should be outlawed. Since HFCS has been used so much the diabetes rate in the country has also gone way up. I refuse to use anything w/ it. I buy organic ketchup, and bread, and packaged crackers to avoid it (it is in everything)
I am a type 1 diabetic and have 2 kids, so when I was concerned with the health of my children I asked many dr.s about it. My endocrinologist , family dr. kids dr., diabetes educator, and others have all said that the chances of a diabetic parent having a child have it is 30 + % if the parent has type 2 (type 1 parents then its only 3 to 5 %)
I would say it may be time to cut the coke down, maybe try diet and watch what you do eat and that will also drop you chances because with a diabetic parent and drinking HFCS your chances are high.

Coke has a LOT of SUGAR. It is very bad. Diet coke would be better, but then you have the caffeine and the aspartame effect with its own side effects. You already have the genetic tendency, I do believe that eventually, you will develop diabetes, I'm betting. I have it, and I am the first in my family to be diagnosed. There has never been a diabetic in my blood line. My husband comes from a long line of diabetics. Our children are at risk of developing the disease unless they eat properly, maintain a healthy weight, and get exercise. Your blood sugar is excellent right now. But watch it closely in the coming years. IF it starts to creep upward, get tested for it. Read up on the disease, and stay abreast of new treatments and pray for a cure.

I am also diabetic, and as I understand it, a fasting blood sugar of over 125 twice in a row probably means that you are diabetic. Please ask your doctor to perform an A1c test, which is a more accurate test to determine how much blood glucose is in your system for the past 3 months. A A1c of more than 7.0 is a definite sign that you are diabetic. Remember that the sooner you catch this disease, the less likely you will be of suffering ill effects. Please have the test, and don't be afraid to find out. Diabetes does not mean that you can't have any natural sugar, it is ALL carbohydrates in your system that effect blood glucose. If you are on a veg diet, and eating bread, pasta, rice and potatoes you are consuming very high carbs. Best diet for diabetics is low carb, low fat protein. Good luck.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.
I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

With a family history you really need to keep sweets to a minimum. Fasting blood sugars should not be higher than 90-91. Drink diet coke if you have to drink it. Coke Zero tastes more like reg coke.

107 is pretty good, but all that Coke is bad for you! You don't mention how your weight and blood pressure are, but the sugar and caffeine can effect weight and blood pressure as well as diabetes.
Do get tested by your doctor, and stay on top of your blod sugars. Keep with the veg diet, that's great! Are you exercising?

107 is within the normal range. The best time to check it is the first time in the morning without any food. Drinking all that coke is not going to cause to to have diabetes but it is not good for you. Useless calories tend to add weight and all that caffeine is not good for you.
