Take a fasting glucose reading with a glucometer and if the result is greater than 100 it should be repeated on another day both fasting and 2 hours after lunch. If the 2nd fasting reading is greater than 100 and / or the 2 hour after lunch reading is greater than 140 you should give these readings to your physician but it would not necessarily mean that you are a diabetic. If you do not have a glucometer ask around as a friend or relative is likely to have one.

If you visit your doctor, a simple fasting blood test will show if you have diabetes. Some signs that you may have diabetes is if you are always hungry, always thirsty, and always going pee.

You can either go see your doctor and get some blood work done or buy a disposable glucose meter, they sell them at Walgreens.
