I'd like someone who's familiar with herpes to answer. Don't just say "yeah it could be". With that out of the way, I've got this weird bump on my penis twice now about a year apart. The last time I got it was like 7 or 8 months ago. The bump is basically like a large pimple that stung when I touched it. There was only one bump, no more. It lasted about 3 days both times then just went away. I can't firgure out if it's an STD or what, I don't even kow if it will come back, but I've only got it on my penis which makes me wonder. And I thought STD's were supposed to suck, I mean, the bump was uncomfortable when I touched it, and I couldn't **** for a few days but other than that it really didn't bother me. Anyways, could it be herpes or what?

Herpes virus usually starts with a tingling or itchy sensation and then a outbreak of blisters. This doesn't sound like herpes to me, but you can have it checked by a doctor to be absolutely sure.

Yes, it most likely is.
It is common now. There are treatments, but no cure. Outbreaks on men are nearly always visable, but no so in women, so you can transmit this to a woman who can show now symptoms, but transmit it back to you.
It is important to get medical advice.
Both from a personal point of view and a societal one.

no, If it was something, It wouldnt go away, then come back 7-8 months later. An STD, would be full blown. Youd have more symptoms. and more pain.
