My Aunty has heart disease, she has had 2 mild heart attacks and 2 open heart surguries. She is getting worse by time and is only 50years of age. Yesterday she found out from her doctor that she is now bleeding into her heart. is there anything that can be done for her? If not how long will she live? Her doctor said if you look after yourself i will look after you, we take that as nothing can be done. Please let me know what you think...Thanks

First, ask her doctor what he means by that. Don't just assume. It may not be as bad as you are making it out to be. And I would think if there was an immediate risk, he would be obligated to let her know. Also, ask who he recommends for a second opinion. If he is not willing to recommend. Run! As fast as you can to another doctor and have her examined. This is her life, don't make assumptions, don't be polite, get answers. As a little bit of hope, my grandmother who is now nearing 80 has had heart disease for years. She has had several incidents, or "episodes" as she likes to say, but she is still kicking strong. Just be sure your Aunty is taking care of herself as far as diet and exercise.
