We're judgmental?!? How often do you see vegheads in the general food section yammering idiocy at meat-eaters? Huh? Gee, why so quiet???
Edit:
We're being mean? YOU are the one that came HERE yammering about how good bloody death carcass is to devour. To reiterate; look through the *rest* of answers and show us where *we* are trolling meat eaters! WE DON'T!!!
Some people have been cannibals since the beginning of time. Does that mean that we should (to quote you) "Get over it" and allow cannibalism? From what I've heard; cannibals say human flesh is like really "yummy" pork. Based on your 'logic' we shouldn't judge cannibalism as wrong!
And I don't really care how old you are or who's cousin you are! You came in here trying to be a smart*** and now that you've learned we can dish it back out, you want to cry "I'm only 13". Grow up!
There are a *very* few radical vegetarians in this world that purposely 'pick fights' but all of us will fight back when provoked. An important point of a veggie lifestyle is 'live and let live' and we *live* that *every* day of our lives. Get the point?
Mouse B, you're sick of this stuff after only 2 days? Good for you! Just think how you'll feel after a few months of seeing this same garbage come up over and over! That is why I occasionally pick one of them to flame! Oh, be glad you weren't here a few weeks back when Foxhunterguy was around.

I used to eat meat, I quit when I was 8. I really do not care if others eat meat. People may have been eating meat since the beginning of time, although I am not sure of the veracity of this statement. If we have emerged from primates we may have been foragers to begin with. Your question is rhetorical, probably stemming from a preconceived notion that all vegetarians are judgmental of others. For myself, I can say I have never asked a lion to give up meat, nor have I judged him for eating it. As the saying goes "All things big and small, GOD made them all".

You are the one being judgmental. Since you're only 13, I'll forgive you and just tell you that you really need to learn not to lump people together under one sterotype. I am 36 and I have been a vegetarian for 20 years, so yes I used to eat meat. I decided *for myself* that the best way to sustain life was not to consume death. But I do not judge people who still eat meat (I even married one!) and I have never "converted" anyone, although I'll share my philosophy on it with anyone who seems genuinely interested.
People have also been vegetarian since the beginning of time. You don't need to be one, but you DO need to "get over it."

I don't judge people now. I've been a vegetarian since june. I've never liked steak,And even before i became a vegetarian i stopped eating bacon and beef. I'd rather people wouldn't eat meat..But what can i do? I'm not eating it 'cause i care about the animals. I don't care if peeps eat meat as long as they don't eat it close to me.

I have eaten meat ever since i was young of course. I stopped eating meat for a little while because of dietary choices, because i thought it would be a challenge, and after i eat meat, i usually feel really shitty, i dont know why. If i ever said anything like" ewww you know that cow your eating's baby is crying right now....." or things like this it was just because i was joking around. however i do know some veggies and vegans out there who are very judgemental of people who eat meat. Why? Because they feel that eating meat is something that we as humans started off with, but now we know that there is other food out there. We now have resources around us to eat healthy and not eat meat and kill animals. There are other forms of protein that we can have instead of a steak. There are vitamines and other such alternatives to eating healthy and still be healthy without eating meat. I felt great when i didnt eat meat, i ate healthier, and had more energy then i ever did when i ate meat. But i do eat meat again and have gained alot of weight. I would love to not eat meat again for the rest of my life, but i think it tastes good. I guess im not very strong. I'd rather eat something that tastes good then to eat healthy. tisk tisk on me.
Oh and to that comment about other animals eating other animals....animals dont rationalize, animals dont have the ability to think about another means of food.......but humans do. Im not against people who eat meat or just veggies. I've dont both. And every veggie head i have ever met, and i know alot, dont shove their ideas of how to live down others throats. And the ones who state their opinion on how people should eat are asked their opinion. There's nothing to get over.

Yeah, i used to eat meat. My reason for choosing not to eat meat is purely for health benefits. Think of all the steroids that are being pumped into those animals, we're ingesting those very same steroids. I don't judge meat eaters. Most vegetarians are wearing leather shoes and belts anyway.

i did, yes. until i found out about the torture, mutilation, and just general abuse that goes on in the meat industry. perhaps we have the right to be judgmental against those who either a) condone torture or b) just don't care about the fate of other living creatures, hmm? after all, we know that serial killers were often kids who abused animals... what does that say about those who enjoy the products of the burning, beating, castration without painkillers, cramming into tiny crates, and brutal slaughter, etc etc of defenseless animals?
that said, i most likely won't say anything about eating meat unless someone else brings it up first. but that doesn't mean that if you do question my choices, i won't explain my reasons.

Yeah,I'm not judgemental, except to the a-holes who say you need to eat meat to be healthy.Just because people have been doing it since the beginning of time doesn't mean you have to keep doing it.

Stop your jabbering and quit stereotyping. It's very rude of you. Only judgmental vegetarians judge. I never ate any meat except tasting it and I never judged anyone else for eating. Don't act like all vegetarians are trying to shove humus down our throat. Plus some vegetarians like me don't really care for that you have your vegetables and we eat junk food just like you do.

Nice "When did you stop beating your wife" question.
The first does not automatically assume the second. I used to eat animal products. I quit eating animal products. I am not interested in converting anyone else.
I'm perfectly happy with going my own way with veganism. I've encountered far more hostility from meat-eaters to vegans than I ever saw to meat eaters FROM vegans as a meat eater.
I quit for compassion reasons. I will never go back, as my health benefits have been enormous. But if you want to continue consuming animals and animal products, whatever floats your boat.
Get over it, yourself.
