I lost my virginity to my first boyfriend four months ago. Three weeks after we started having sex I got a yeast infection that lasted up until a week ago. I went to three different doctors and no matter what they gave me, the infection would not go ago. My boyfriend did not have any complains and so I thought it was just a infection as the doctors said. I had sex with my boyfriend one week when I did have any problems. Couple days later I saw a bump on my lubia and then couple days after that three more bumps came up. I went to the doctor and got tested. The results came back that I have Herpes. Could it be that I have herpes and he does not? Also could I get herpes from an yeast infection??

Type two herpes is a virus infection. Yeasts are fungi. They are not related and do not affect each other. If your boyfriend is the only person that you have had intimate relations with than he is almost certainly the source of your infection. Yeast infections can be cleaned out by a number of antifungal medications. (e.g. ketoconazoile, itraconazole, clotrimazole, etc.) once a yeast infection is cleaned out you are clear of it unless you get reinfected. Unfortunately this is not the case with the herpes virus. There are creams that will kill the virus in lesions that come up from time to time. But the virus stitches itself into your sciatic nerve and lies dormant only to come "alive" from time to time and cause genital sores again. Which will eventually disappear after your immune system kills them or a medication does. Scientists are working on drugs that will flush the dormant virus out of the nerve cells so our immune system can kill all of them off. But they are not there yet. (they have found a chemical for the dormant aids virus, which plays the same trick. Please note, they are NOT related viruses). For the moment once a person gets type 1 or type 2 herpes infectio, they carry it, at the moment, for life. Incidentally, type 1 herpes causes cold sores and sufferers get periodic outbreaks of leasions near the mouth from time to time, during their lifetime. It lies dormant in the trigeminal nerve.) Stress is a factor in inducing the virus to come out of hiding and cause a lesion. When you have a lesion, you are highly infectious, ask your partner to wear a condom , something your boyfriend should have done.
Do NOT douche unless a gynecologist suggests that you do. (which is is extremely unlikely). Douching does little good but can cause you to get a bacterial infection. A healthy vagina has several chemicals that inhibit bacteria. (acetic and also lactic acids ).
Good luck,
Doc. Dan.

This might be a crazy statement. If you or your boyfriend has ever had cold sores in your/his mouth that is a type of herpes that can be spread through the mouth if you had oral sex but it can also be transferred through regular sex.Tell you boyfriend to get tested Asap, make sure that you have test done before having sex with anyone that way you both are aware of your test results, make sure you see the results.Your life is not over, keep your head up young person. The statistics is 1 in 5 are infected but i believe it is more. The virus hides out and then all of a sudden shows up. Chicken pox is another type of herpes but there is a cure. It happens but your boyfriend has the virus even if there are no signs. Get him tested!
I hope this helped

A yeast infection is caused by an over growth of yeast in the vagina. Herpes are caused by a virus that is given to other when the virus is active. You got herpes from an infected person while having sex. You might want to question your boyfriend if he is the only one you have been with.

i dont think you can get herpes from a yeast infection. those are usualy bacterial and herpes is a virus. he might have herpes and they are dormant but you got them. id suggest using a condom and as for the yeast infection if you still got it or get another one try douching that cleans it out prety well most bacteria cant stand up to the vinegar. and you may have gotten the yeast infection cuz ur had herpes allready. makes it harder to kill off any germs in that area because they are busy dealing with the herpes virus. just remember stay safe.

Your boyfriend has herpes. Sorry to inform you so curtly, but it's true. You do not get herpes from a yeast infection, and you can get herpes from someone with no symptoms that you can see. As long as it's in his system, you can catch it symptoms or none.
