Its extremely unlikely that you can get addicted by smoking only one cigarette. However, I would strongly recommend NOT smoking that first cigarette, as it makes a second one so very much easier to smoke... and at some point, you will end up addicted.

Nicotine in cigarettes is considered one of the most addictive substances on earth, and the earlier you quit the better off you will be.

As a personal observation - I quit smoking easily when I was 18 or 19. When I started up again 10 or 12 years later I found the new cigarettes far more addictive... and still haven't quit after some 8 years...

Probably not. I know the first time I had one I never wanted another one, I coughed like I had black lung. But here I am, a half pack a day smoker, 10 years later.

no it usually takes 21 days to get addicted, and 21 days to kick an addiction.

Depends on your body and what ciggerates your having. But most likely you will NOT get addicted by just one.

normally no, but yes you actually can all it takes is a little bit of that nicoteen to get in your lungs and it makes your brain think that you need it. dont try smoking you will regret it when you are older. and alot of guys/girls are turned off by smokers
