Tachychardia can be very dangerous. If you notice an irregular heatbeat you should talk to you doctor and should prbably see a cardiologist. Normally people are given medicine to prevent this. There are ways to cure certain type of tachycardia. SVT, sudden ventricular tachycardia can be fixed with sugery. SVT occurs when loose skin irritates the heart and causes it to beat irregularly. The surgery for SVT is not an open heart surgery. The doctor goes in through the grion area with a specialized camera to removes the extra skin. People with SVT can also take medicine but the surgery is more effective and after it is done you don't have to worry anymore.

it depends whether it is supra ventricualr tachycardia or ventricular tachycardia. The latter is very dangerous.

Treatment depends on the cause as well. E.g. If you get a tachycardia after drinking coffee then the obvious answer is to stop drinking coffee.

You can also stop the tachycardia by cardioversion (using a defribrilator synchronised to the R wave on the ECG complex).

You can use drugs or implantable devices e.g. a pacemaker.

Tachycardia is normal in children and during exercise.

There are medications that will treat tachycardia; for some people, rubbing under the right ear near the carotid/jugular veins will slow the heart as well (something to do with a nerve that is close to the surface there).

There are cures for any and all diseases from the common cold on up to cancers, lupus and even AIDS. The trouble is the pharmaceutical companies and the doctors' don't want you to find them on your own, so they lie to you and tell you only drugs will help you. Did you know the number four killer of people in America today is use of prescription drugs. I will probably be accused of spam and advertisement, so I cannot tell you on this site where to go for the uses and types of herbs that will do exactly what I say. However, if you have ever read the news as far back as you can go, have you ever heard of somebody ODing from using too many herbs? No, because it will never happen. Use of too many herbs will only cause you a stomach ache. While drugs 'will' kill you if you use too many of them.

Yes, medications are often effective. I take 360 mg of Verapamil and .25 of digoxin a day and it works very well for me.
There is also ablation surgery which can zap the part of the heart muscle that is creating the abnormal heart beat rhythm. The full name for this type of arrhythmia is Paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (PSVT)

doctors can not cure tachicardia, but they can control it by prescribing you some kind of medicines like digitalics ( in some cases) and betablockers like atenolol, those medicines helps control your heart rate, but have secondary effects like atshma in the case of the atenolol. in some ocations you may cure you tachicardia by controling others desease such atshma, or by lossing some paunds.

My cure consisted of fitting a bi-ventricular implantable cadioverter defibrillator. In some repects I feel guilty that I am walking round with £20,000 worth of equipment in my chest, to keep one person alive but they will not give £30 worth of drug to a cancer patient. But at least the ICD has worked for me.

I take 150 mg of Apo-Propafenone (2 times a day), 81 mg of Ec Asa (once a day) and omega 3 (three 3 times a day). It helps to keep my heart beat regular.
