I adore authentic Italian food because it is so varied depending on the locale. There are some amazing seafood recipes. I could eat Italian food everyday and have something completely different everytime. Many people just think of pasta as Italian, but it is so much more varied than that!

Mama mia! Italian of course.
Pasta covered with steaming tomato sauce with bracioli, sprinkled with fresh grated Parmesan cheese, hard crust Italian bread washed down with some homemade dago red, topped off with some spumonte and conolis and espresso. And I'm Scotch-German!

I pretty much love food, but Italian is my favourite. I'm mostly Italian, and I just love the variety. That, and I am probably the biggest carb lover you will ever meet.

Southern American.....thats comfort food to me because I grew up with it. I absolutely LOVE it.
I've got to try three other types of foods and its deffinitley authentic because I was in that country!
Real Italian food is much different than American-Italian food. When I was there we ate everywhere and all sorts of different foods. Well, we of course had to try pizza and spagetti. In America we like to bulk everything up, putting tons of toppings on our pizza and tons of meat and vegatables (onions, bell peppers, mush rooms....) in our spagetti, but over there they focused more on spices and the meal filled you up but didn't make you feel like you had just eaten a whole cake (that really heavy feeling). The food was awesome though!
Another place we went was Switzerland. Their food is more similar to our food then the other EU countries I would imagine. Very good and thick and sort of heavy like ours is.
Then, our las stop was France. We had some food that I don't know how to spell (lol), and everything tended to be in some sort of sauce. It was all very good, but the best thing we had there was this wheel of bread! I haven't a clue what it was called but it was the best bread I had ever tasted. But in the France airport I had a bad experience with food. I ate raw bacon :(. We were waiting for our plane and I bought a bacon sandwhich. Now, this sandwhich was very thick with other things (like lettuce, tomatoes and allot of bread!) and not much bacon, so I took a couple of bites before I realized it was raw. I was so sick the whole ride home.
But, like I said before..Southern American is my favorite (cobblers, pies, and tons of fried food!) but I do love other countries foods as well.
