how many of you like corn bread and butter milk.thats when you put corn bread in butter milk to eat as a soup. i like it with salt and pepper and chopped onions

I love them together! The buttermilk gives it a smooth taste. I like it with a little black pepper and some salt! idon't like the onions! I make cornbread all the time! It's a Southern thing!

If you can find them, add fresh crackling to the batter-delicious. Sometimes I like to make broccoli bread also. 1 1/2 cup cooked broccoli -don't over cook 1 cup cubed cheese -your choice, but I use strong cheddar 1/2 large diced onion hot peppers, if you like 1 egg Corn meal/flour (2 parts meal to 1 part flour) milk 1/2 c. Bacon grease Place bacon grease in large cast iron skillet.Heat on stove top: ( If you place 2 tsp of meal in skillet while it is heating, the bread has a good thick brown crust and won't stick to the pan) Add first 3-4 ingredients in large bowl, then add egg and cornmeal/flour mixture to make thick consistency with necessary milk. Pour mixture in hot skillet and bake at 350 preheated oven till it rises and is nice and brown on top.

I like corn bread with kernal corn or hominy in it!!Mexican if you add hot peppers! also a bacon bits is good to add to! and some butter and if plain cornbread some homemade blackberry jam!

I never drink butter milk. But I do like corn bread, and it is good with milk.

Oh yes! Leftover cornbread, crumbled in a glass of cold buttermilk (called mush) is delightful.

definitly, except i dont eat it in buttermilk i use regular milk but im sure its just as good. my grandpa always put pepper in his but im not a big seasoning person. hadnt heard of many ppl to use this technique. glad im not the only weird one

Buttermilk is so disgusting. Rotten milk. Yuck. But cornbread is good. I love it.
