Well, when my mother-in-law makes her fabulous samosas,

...the filling is fried
...the chapati is fried
...and the final thing is deep-fried!

But delicious, all the same.

A chinese friend asked me this question: most of the Indians eat vegetarian food. Still how come the women are so overweight? I didnt know what to answer! I told her its our body type. but i am not sure if that is entirely true...Probably we are a lazy lot and stop exercising once we have babies etc. infact exercising is not in our regime at all. And adding to the calories if we eat greasy, sugary stuff and not have any physical activites; just go to work and back in a public or private transport, eat chips during travel time, come home eat greasy, sugary stuff again, watch tv rest of the day and go to bed, how will our fat burn?

Depends on the dish. Indian food is generally very healthy as it is mainly vegetarian.

ALOT!!! because they like to use Ghee or lard (by the way, Ghee is animal fat!!!) and they also use alot of coconut milk or yoghurt to cook with.

BUT I LOVE THEM...what can i say.....I know is healthier if I cook them myself.
