I eat a fair amount of tofu and other vegan foods. I'm also allergic to wheat. So I keep a big recipe database online of all my favorite recipes. If you visit it, anything marked with a star is gluten-free (or can be made gluten-free). The URL is http://recipes.leiderman.com
I would recommend the Korean Tofu to start with; it's delicious. It's basically cubed, fried tofu with bell peppers, onions, and bamboo shoots in a spicy sauce. I've yet to make it for someone who disliked it. :-)

well sweetie, im a meat eater, but i love vegetables and tofu too!
I love this chinese recipe with deep fried tofu and snow peas carrots broccoli and baby mushrooms.
All you need to do is fry the tofu in soybean oil until brown on all sides then set aside. Then in a wok style pan saute some chopped onion and clove (smashed) garlic (hten turn the heat up) then add the vegetables and stir around for about 2 minutes- then add about 1/2 a cup of vegetable stock and about 1/4 cup of soy sauce and cover for about 3- 5 minutes. *To thicken the sauce like at chinese restaurants take about 2 tsp of corn starch and 2 tblsp of stock and blend well in a small bowl then add to the boiling soy sauce mixture and stir well. Then put the fried tofu in last and evenly coat
This recipe is delicious with brown or white rice. I add a little asian chile sauce when i cook it.
Good luck hun!

I like it in soups, especially miso, egg scramble/hash, stir fried with vegetables and a little hoisin sauce and hot pepper flakes, and I LOVE tofu fa, which is a dessert tofu. It's super soft tofu with a sweet ginger syrup you pour over that you can have hot or cold.

One fantastic source is "The new FarmVegetarian Cookbook" (and to those emailing me to stop listing it: Go away! If you'd bother to try it you'd know how good it is).
Another quick easy source is right here at Yahoo Answers! But instead of wasting points and asking us just use the search for questions option and enter "tofu recipes" as there are already a bunch posted! (and a lot of us are tired of re-answering common questions)

Try this for different texture.
Slice tofu into thin slices. (1/2" thick)
Pat dry and wrap it in plastic
FREEZE it solid
Thaw it in refregerator
What you get is a chewy tofu. It is called "KOYA" tofu and above is how you make it.

a good way to eat tofu is to get firm tofu and drain it, then cut into thin slices and pan fry with a mixture of spices, and salt. paprika, chile, curry, and such are good ones to use.
