i think of it relies upon the place you're in the international. right here in my little nook of jap Canada we generally see soy sauce, plum sauce (referred to as duck sauce in some places), and purple sauce (candy and bitter). In Paris our meals at a chinese language eating place became served with the nice and comfortable spicey chili sauce some circumstances, yet i did no longer seize what it became referred to as.

In Singapore, when we eat crispy duck, we either have chili sauce/paste freshly make (sweet) or plum sauce with orange zest. Normally sweet sauces goes very well with duck.

Duck Sauce is just another name for Sweet and Sour Sauce. The only difference is that they use peaches in it.

The sauce is actually sweet plum sauce. You can get it at any Asian grocery shop. It usually comes in a bottle which can be stored in the fridge for usage later.

It's great to dip your egg roll in. Also, to put a little of that on the rice is good if you like a sweet taste.

it can be used for the cruchy noodles you get with your soups! But you can use it for your rice, eggrolls, meats, veggies, etc! I use it on my rice and sometimes in my eggrolls! The crunchy noodles are cool and you eat it with the sause while it's warm!

It is just something to add more flavor to things like egg rolls, fried won tons, etc. You don';t have to use it, if you don't want to.
