Ok, this isn't an answer to your question per se, just a word of caution. Diabetes is a serious disease that can have serious consequences if not well treated. Now, I am a doctor, but I'm not someone who things that the only treatments that work are things you buy in a pharmacy - but they do have the advantage of having been studied and we know they work, many of the homeopathic, naturopathic, etc remedies have not been studied and so their efficacy is unclear (though some that have been studied have been proven to work, others have been shown not to do anything, and some are even harmful).
I would say this, first off, no matter what way you choose to manage your diabetes, check your blood sugar level to make sure it's working, and if it's not, then you need to think about changing it. Diet and exercise alone can be very effective, but are not enough in most diabetics.
And, no matter what you do, find a doctor your trust and talk to him about it.

You can go on a lean diet with low amounts of carbs (since they raise blood sugar quick) and no regular sodas or junk food except on occasions. If you eat small frequent balanced meals with healthy snacks, this should help keep your bs low. Look in the glycemic index diet for great meal plans; this is for diabetic people and will help control your blood sugar. Also, a good way to lower blood sugar is to keep yourself active and try to start an exercise plan or maybe just a short walk daily. But diabetes is something that you shouldn't control on your own without seeing a dr. first to make sure. You should get an A1C test to see how high your sugar is. If it is really high, it may not be able to be solely controlled by diet just yet. This is even more so if you're overweight. A Dr. would tell you to start losing weight. Diabetes is not an illness to mess with as it will destroy so much in your body in little time. If you cannot afford to see a doctor then at least get a glucose meter to check your levels in order to stay on track. High and low blood sugar are not good for you and especially yo-yoing between the two. Good luck and I hope everything turns out well.

Do Not Be A Fool and later pay as well loose dearly. There is no cure for diabetics. Diabetics can only be monitored, controled. However u can live longer and healthy if u could control better.
For that u must know what is diabetes. Visit diabetes.com or American diabetes association websites and Lean first. I mean learn.
Please do not trust anybody Except a qualified specilized diabetic doctor. Stop worrying about homeopathy, Ayurveda etc, they are all crap in front of diabetes.
To control blood sugar, follow diet and eat only what u are supposed to eat. There are plenty of varieties a diabetic could find to exhaust. Reduce carbs and make a balanced diet. Do excersise, strictly follow your medication (Allopathy).
Hellow my dear if you do not follow this simple advice later u may have to loose either ur foot or eye or a serious heart or kidney diease. O.K Because like u i also did the same mistake and lost my toe as i did not follow this simple advice. So be happy and go visit a diabetic spcialist and forget ur worries.

Cinnamon was first mentioned by the New Scientist in November 1893 in an article that I shall copy below.
I have recently discovered that Arnica 30c taken in the Split Dose twice daily can even replace the standard tablets that are prescribed for Diabetics especially if they use this remedy together with the Cinnamon which should not exceed 1/2 teaspoonful per day divided into 2 doses which can be mixed in food.

First of all if your doctor is happy with your sugars don't take anything. The one thing I notice is your sugars can plummet really fast and they don't go up that quickly
Here are a few I know:
Bilberry
Fenugreek
Cinnamon
Ginseng.
I prefer the cinnamon most of the other supplements have a weird aftertaste.
