Please tell me exact quantities of rawa and water so it doesn't turn out to be a sticky mess. Thanks for your help

Here's your recipe. I hope you like it.

Rava Upma

Ingredients

Upma rava-1 cup
water -2cups
Salt to taste
Green chillies-4-5 (chopped)
Ginger-1 inch (finely chopped)

Seasoning: little amount of all these -->oil, urad dal, mustard seeds, chana dal, curry leaves.

Method:


Heat oil in a pan or kadai and all the above seasoning, chillies and ginger. When they turn little brown add Rava and fry a little.
In a small bowl add 2 cups of water and salt and heat it to boil.
Then pour this water into the kadai.
Mix well and close it with a lid and stir it occasionally. (If not rawa remains as thick balls). When rawa is completely cooked remove from fire.

Serves: 2
Preparation time: 6 mins

Ingredients:-

-2 finely chopped onions
-4 green chilies (short pieces)
-1 cup coriander
-1 1/2 cup rawa
-1 lemon
-Rawa Upma

Method:-

1) Heat rawa in a pan for 2 mins.
2) Heat some oil seperately for 30 secs. Add spoonful of mustard seeds.
3) Add onions and chilies, fry till onions become reddish brown.
4) Add 3 cups of water and boil it for 3 mins. Add the heated rawa and stir vigorously.
5) Add salt to taste, garnish with coriander, sprinkle some lemon. 6) Serve with coconut chutney.

Heres a recipe

Upma Recipe


ingredients :


Sooji - upma Rava 1 Cup
Ginger 1 " inch piece chopped finely
Chilies red or Green 2 Nos
Onion medium size 1 No chopped lengthwise
Salt Acc to taste
Oil 2 tbsp.
Water 2 Cups

Seasoning

Mustard Seeds 1 tsp
Urad dal 1 tsp
Channa dal 1 tsp
Hing 1 tsp
Curry leaves few.

Methods :
Dry roast sooji for few minutes & keep aside.
Take care not to brown them.
Heat Oil in the same pan & do the seasoning.
Add chilies, ginger & Onion fry till translucent.
Add salt,water & let it come to boil at which
point add the sooji gradually. Keep stirring
& take care as not to form lumps.
simmer the stove,cover & let it cook for 5 minutes.
Switch off the stove,combine & Seve hot

Ive also have found a recipe that doesnt involve any water

1 cup Rava / Sooji (Semolina)
25 gms fried Cashew Nuts (optional)
1 inch Ginger chopped
1 chopped Onion
3 Green Chillies slit sideways
1 Potato chopped
1 Capsicum chopped
1 Carrot chopped
1/4 cup Green Peas frozen or fresh
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
1 tsp Urad Daal
1 tsp Channa Daal
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
Chili powder to taste (optional)
2 tblsp Oil
Few curry leaves
Finely chopped corianderleaves
1 tblsp Ghee
Lemon juice to taste



How to make rava uppma:


Sift rava through a muslin / cheese cloth or very fine sieve.
Heat 1tbsp. pure ghee / unsalted butter and fry rava ,on a moderate heat, stiring constantly to light brown color and set aside.
Now heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and allow them to splatter.
Add the daals : channa & urad & curry leaves to it and fry till they turn red.
Add onion, ginger and green chilies. Sauté for 2-3 minutes.
Add all the vegetables, turmeric & chili powder, and salt to taste.
Now add 3 cups of water and cover the pan and allow it simmer on low heat until the vegetables are done.
Add the fried rava to it stirring constantly till it becomes little thick.
Take off from the heat and lemon juice if desired.
Serve hot garnished with cashews and coriander.
