My mother and 2 of my 4 children are diabetic so I know 80-120 to be normal. If anything else is different I might call the doctorl also there is a test called the Hemoglobin a1c test that would tell you more definitely what is going on with the blood sugar levels

Paramedic fireman has a grip on reality. Any real diabetic knows that trying to maintain bg at 100 is ridiculous. If you are an active person, you need sugar reserve so you don't go low constantly. During normal sitting or standing, like at the office, I like to stay just about 200 so I've got some juice in me for anything that might happen unexpectantly. If I am doing heavy exercise, say hard bicycling that can drop me 300mg/dl/hour, I will pump up to 400+ so I can cycle for an hour without worry.

Used to be 60-120. But doctors have found that anything above 100 is still unsafe.

This is after a night of fasting. Blood sugar naturaly goes up after eating a meal.

It really does vary from person to person but they say ideally between 70 (which is on the low side) to 120. Your body starts to make ketones if you get to about 240 or so, so you definitely do not want to get that high. With frequent testing, you will get to know how your body reacts to certain foods and different types of exercise. Good luck!

Blood sugar regularity is different from person to person. But if I was going to have to give it a number I would say anything under 120 is low and over 300 is high

80-110 fasting. They use to consider up to 120 ok, but they have changed their ideas on that.

OK first let me say it varies .. 120 to 180 is perfect...for me, but books say different..i hit 90 and I'm shaking like an earthquake.. when i went to the hospital and learned i had diabetes my blood sugar was at 743... took 10 days to bring it down to tolerable levels... find where you feel comfortable and try to stay in that range. and good luck
