mmmkay so my friend is a vegetarian and the other morning i was eating chicken flavored ramen noodles (yum) and so i offered her some and she declined it because it was chicken flavored. she claims that the chicken-flavored broth is made of chickens.... is this true or is she insane??????

Yes, it is totally processed but there IS real "meat product" in Chicken flavored Ramen Noodles.

Know this Chicken Broth is from Chickens. There are some NON-Chicken Broths on the market if someone wants the flavor with you the flesh.
If something says "flavored" it might not be.. but if the label does not say Vegan I would assume it had chicken in it.

Chicken broth is always made from chickens; chicken flavored broth is usually made from chickens. Some brands of chicken-flvored broths have no chicken. Look through the ingredients. If you see "chicken" or "natural flavors" then forget it- it's probably not vegetarian.

Broth is made from meat and bones and is usually salted for more flavor.
Stock is made from just bones and usually isn't salted.
Store chicken broth, you have to read the label. There could even be some msg in there. You never know.

Hate to say it's true! Anything "chicken flavored" and chicken broth is made using dead chicken in some way or another.

What else would it be made of? The broth is salt and cooked down chicken parts in a powdered form with just a few herbs and spices.

Read the label and you will undoubtedly find such non-vegetarian ingredients as chicken fat. Yes, chicken broth is made with real chickens!
