all I know is that you use corn puffs and brown sugar. It hardens and you eat it as a finger treat.

Caramel Puffs

preparation time: 15 minutes

1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup margarine
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
7.5 oz bag of Corn Puffs

Bring brown sugar, margarine, and corn syrup to a boil over medium heat on stove top. Boil for 2 minutes, remove from heat and add baking soda. Stir well. Lightly spray a large roaster type pan with cooking oil. Pour bag of Corn Puffs into pan. Pour carmel mixture over Corn Puffs and stir well until coated. Spray inside of a large brown grocery bag with cooking oil. Pour Corn Puffs into the bag. Fold over end, shake well. Microwave on high for 1 minute and shake again. Microwave for 1 minute and shake bag. Microwave for 45 seconds, shake bag and pour back into large pan. Let cool, stirring often.

How about making Rice Krispy treats using corn puffs instead? The marshmallow and butter and quantities should all be the same.

You can use ANY cereal and make those rice crispy treats out of them. Adding a touch of brown sugar to the marshmallow sauce before adding the cereal makes them that much better !! YUM

corn puffs and peanuts mixed with marshmellow and a dab of butter spread in buttered pan and cut into squares,--finger food.

a bag of marshmellows, melt them, add the cereal, and spread in a pan to make like rice crispy treats. you can even sprinkle the really pretty colored sugar on top for color!
