I have several herbs growing in my garden...
Parsley, basil, coriander, thyme and 2 types of mint... spearmint and mint-bergamot.
I also have a laurel tree (for bay leaves).
The one I use the most is the parsley, but my favourite is the basil, every time I walk past it I run my fingers across the leaves, just to get a whiff of the delicious scent!

There's just something about rosemary for me. I would grow it outside in my (organic) garden, but I live in the upper midwest and it wouldn't survive our winters. So I keep in in a container outside when it's nice out and bring it in the house over the winter. One thing I like about it is that a little goes a long way! I just love it with steamed vegetables and salads.

I'm torn between basil and thyme. I love them both. If I had to choose I'd probably choose basil. Fresh basil smells so wonderful and really makes a dish all that much better. I don't grow my own but I've been considering it.

Basil. I grow 3 types of it. I like the lemon basil alot though.
(I also have a dehydrator for the herbs - you're right, you can't trust those fertilizers and pesticides).
