It's possible.

Symptoms of genital herpes are:
* Flulike symptoms, such as fever, headache, and muscle aches. These symptoms usually get better within a week.
* Tingling, burning, itching, and redness at the site where an outbreak is about to occur (prodrome).
* Painful, itchy blisters on the penis, on the vulva, or inside the vagina. Blisters may also appear on the anus, buttocks, thighs, or scrotum, either alone or in clusters. They may be barely noticeable or as large as a coin.
* Blisters that break and become shallow, painful, oozing sores.
* Swollen and tender lymph nodes in the groin.
* Painful urination.
* Abnormal vaginal or urethral discharge.

My first outbreak of gential herpes was EXTREMELY painful. I was in so much pain I was prescribed Vicodin and I had to take two days of work off because I could hardly walk or even sit down. Are you in a lot of pain?

It's best to get checked out by a doctor as soon as you can. They will be able to tell you for sure if you have it or not and give you medication for it. Good luck!

Herpes symptoms are only noticeable when outbreaks occur. Otherwise, the virus lies in latency in the neck or lower spine, oftentimes never causing any symptoms at all. In fact, there is virtually no way to identify the presence of the virus until an outbreak occurs. The location of the symptoms of herpes depends on the type of the virus – oral herpes symptoms appear in and around the mouth area, and the genital variety appear in and around the genital and anal areas of the body. An oral herpes blister is commonly referred to as a cold sore. The outbreak of such a sore begins with a tingling and mile redness of the skin that then develops into a blister that can be quite large and painful. These blisters are usually located very near the lips of the infected person, but herpes symptoms can also be present inside the mouth, particularly on the tongue.

Genital herpes:
A common infection caused by the herpes simplex virus type 2 or type 1.
Type 1 is commonly acquired through oral sex, while type 2 is transmitted through sexual intercourse.
Symptoms include small blisters in the genital area which rapidly break down to leave painful ulcers.
Other symptoms include pain or difficulty in passing urine. Some patients may develop headache and fever.
Herpes infection during late pregnancy is potentially dangerous to the baby during labour.
Herpes is a life-long chronic condition which cannot be cured.
However, there are antiviral drugs available which can reduce the severity of symptoms.

You are infected with with HSV1 in both the places.

Causes Of Genital Herpes

Genital herpes is caused by herpes virus- HSV. HSV are of two types- HSV1 and HSV2. HSV1 causes more of oral herpes and HSV 2 causes more of genital herpes. But HSV1 can also affect the genital area and cause herpes. Genital herpes is contacted by sexual contact. Anybody who has genital herpes can pass on the virus to his/her partner through a cut in the skin or mucous membrane. If somebody has cold sores and performs oral sex, he/she can also transmit the virus and cause genital herpes in partner.

Once the virus enters the body, it multiplies rapidly. The herpes virus remains in the body and may either be active or inactive. During the active period, the virus travels to the genital area and causes sores. During inactive period, it remains dormant in the body. When genital herpes is contacted, virus shows up in the first episode of herpes and after that goes in to sleeping mode to recur again. Read more about that in symptoms.
