Raisins I think, beans, green veggies such as kale. Use a cast iron skillet for cooking that way, some of the iron will go into any food that you are cooking. Blackstrap molasses. Sorry, I know this was in the vegetarian section, but i just had to add this.....blood is very iron rich.

IRON RICH DIET

Breakfast: Most breakfast cereals, whole grain breads and legumes are rich in iron. Unfortunately this is not the type of iron easily absorbed by the body. To increase absorption of iron into the body, one of the methods often seen is to increase intake of Vitamin C. (orange juice or other fruit)

Lunch: Eat red meat with iron rich vegetables. Lean red meat is a rich source of iron, and will help your body absorb the iron found in the vegetables. Vitamin C in an orange or tomato also will help.

Dinner: Combine a rich source of iron, for instance, a stir fry with lean red meat and vegetables rich in iron is an tasty and excellent iron rich meal made with foods rich in iron.

there is not any longer something incorrect with being or turning out to be to be a vegan or vegetarian. i'm no longer vegetarian, yet I do eat frequently vegetables and then meat/fish approximately 3 - 4 situations a week to get the iron and protein that i desire. There are some reliable vegetable components for iron. Any leafy green vegetables: Like turnip vegetables, mustard vegetables, spinach, cabbage, collard vegetables (cooked/steamed). extremely great components for iron! yet i replace into listening to Dr. oz..the different day on his show, and he suggested that people who pick to have a vegan weight loss software, quite could desire to start taking a multi-diet... simply by 'lack' of iron of their diets. It replace into particularly exciting information, and in case you think of roughly it, does start to make sense... simply by fact your depleting meat (it extremely is wealthy in iron, protein, and amino acids). theory i might bypass that directly to ya!....

Broccoli, Beans, seeds and dark leafy greens are good sources. Apparently they should be eaten with something high in Vitamin C to aid in absorption (Tomatoes, Bell peppers etc)
