Where do you think is the best place to buy them? I find Tesco & M&S are both very good.

➔ Vegetarian & Vegan
For stupid people-Yes, wine is made from grapes & is therefore vegetarian, however a lot of wine is filtered using Isinglass (a fining agent derived from the swim bladders of certain tropical fish, especially the Chinese sturgeon) or Gelatine (a gelling agent derived from animal ligaments, skins, tendons, bones etc). Traces of this remain in the wine, so the drink is not strictly veggie.

Veggie friendly wines? Is there any meat-based wine then????
Anyways, one of the best wines in the world in my opinion is the Robola, a dry white wine from Kefalonia, Greece. In restaurants available for about 17 euro, on Kefalonia en Lefkada in supermarkets for 5 euro.

The question was for wines which are veggie friendly, not vegetarian (which of course all wines are, as they contain no animal products).
The veggie friendliness is to do with the manufacturing process. Most wines, many spirits and some beers are 'fined' (clarified) or filtered using animal products such as egg white or isinglass, which is derived from the swim bladder of a fish.
To answer the question, I think M&S is good. Asda do quite a few too.

Oh dear, it seems some of your answerers don't know the contents of what they are drinking.
The MAJORITY of wines contain fish.
Sainburys do some veggie and vegan wines. But the best by far is the CO-OP, with Asda coming a close second.
The best way is to make your own, its not that difficult and very rewarding to drink a bottle of Veggie wine costing about 25p
I see the word "strictly" in your comments. Something is either veggie or not, anything made with animal by products in the process is not veggie. Not "nearly" or "almost". So it might help to avoid confusion in the veggie discussion if we all made it a but more black and white.

Don't worry, they'll get it. I am not sure about veggie friendly wines but I assume alcohol free wines etc would be vegetarian since they are produced for people that are 100% pure vegetarian due to religious beliefs etc. Maybe you can have a look at the website listed below and contact them to find out, I am sure they'll know what they're talking about.

Here is a pretty comprehensive list of great vegan wines at http://vegans.frommars.org/wine/ - I usually buy in bulk online once I find one I like - I really love the Valbona Syrah - It's lovely. However a great way to have good wine and *really* feel good about it being vegan is to make your own. Have you ever thought of making a simple wine out of coconut milk, or grape juice, or something even more creative?
Anyways, I hope that helps - Bon Appetit!

wine has gelatine which is made of animal bone and tissue - that's why some veggies only drink veggie wine people!

Tesco is great when it comes to 'veggie friendliness'... try the biological wines.

Make your own.
All you really need is a crock or food grade plastic 5 gal bucket, a carboy, air lock, fruit or veg juice, sugar and yeast.
