each day they ask a "meat" question in the veggie and vegan section. Alright, I know they are asking across the whole food and drink section, but its still stupid of them.

I guess they don't care about the veggie and vegan population.

Tell them what you think, write to thier customer service:

To ask a veggie "what is the best steak you've ever tasted " is insulting to a veggie. Sainsburys have CHOSEN to take out an advert in this section so yes, i do feel I can question thier judgement.

Its not the same as putting a vegetable question in the rest of Food and Drink - that wouldn't be insulting as most meat eaters do not find eating vegetables morally wrong, and therefore would not get upset by it.

By the way, i don't do knitting. I'm an arable farmer who spends most of my time doing physical work.

I totally agree. I was very tempted this morning to reply to their question that my favourite steak was the kind found mooing in a field!

i will be e-mailing them shortly!!!!

The question Sainsbury's are asking is in the Food and Drink section. If you want it to be excluded from the Vegetarian and Vegan section it is probably a matter for Yahoo Answers to deal with.

I completely agree with Mike. Questions are here to stimulate ideas and are not directed at any particular group. Would meat eaters take offence if a vegetarian question were posted, or people who choose not to drink alcohol be upset by a question on wine? Surely people can't think that a supermarket trying to appeal to the entire UK population would intentionally post a question to insult people, ludicrous. I take it you don't shop at any supermarket then, given that there's meat on the shelves - surely they're trying to offend you?!

You've got a very valid point there. Those questions r pointless anyway-what do they do with the answers? I hope they get loads of e-mails, and I'm saying that as a meat eater. good on ya! lol :)

We're a minority group, I'm afraid, so we must suffer discrimination and abuse from the carnivores amongst us. Don't worry, they'll all die early of colon cancer while we'll still be rock and rolling when we're 90.
