I don't know where i got them from but I'm guessing it was from my girlfriend because last night I was with a few girls in vegas and they told me they were clean.

First, you will NOT die if you have herpes.
And second, I don't know if I would trust "a few girls in Vegas" before I trusted my own girlfriend.
Herpes is NOT deadly for adults (it can be for newborns). The only STDs that are deadly are HIV/AIDS and untreated syphilis. You can also get cancer from HPV, but this is usually cervical cancer which obviously just affects women.
***Also, herpes doesn't just "clear up" with some antibiotics like Daniel R said. Antibiotics ONLY cure bacterial STDs, not viral ones. There is no cure for viral STDs, which include HIV/AIDS, herpes, HPV and hepatitis.

Truthfully, if the person you contracted the herpes virus from was not willing to fill you in on having them in the first place to allow you to take precautions to protect yourself, you probably never will know where you got them from! (SORRY!) But the good news is that even though you have herpes, you're NOT going to die from them! There are medications your Doctor can prescribe to ease the pain of herpes outbreaks, and you too need to take precautions also with your next sexual partner to avoid spreading the STD again! By the way, just because someone tells you they're clean, DON"T take their word for it! TAKE PRECAUTIONS AND USE PROTECTION!

No, you don't die from herpes. It is incredibly painful, and you'll have it forever. But you won't die. you can take meds to control the outbreaks.

Rule of thumb to anyone who plans to have unprotected sex with people they don't know....USE A CONDOM, USE A CONDOM there is no reason why we have such a high infection rate for STDs. Are people so irresponsible that they are not doing anything to protect themselves and then believing when someone tells them they're clean. You got people walking around with one or more STD and don't even know it because some STDs have no real or visible symptoms. Most don't find out until they are at the doctor for physical exams or STD testing. This is serious folks....use a condom each and every time you have sex and get tested regularly. Don't let yourself get to the point of getting something to make you change your ways. Monogamy if you're going to be sexual with someone and abstainence if you're not going to be with someone. Any STD is serious and it's not cool when folks are bringing that stuff home to their spouses and partners. Again FOLKS THIS IS NOT A JOKE USE A CONDOM WHEN YOU HAVE SEX. If you can't remember who you slept with when you learned of your status it's time to stop having sex.

I do not know about herpes but keep on and get aids and you will die and herpes will be the last thing on your mind.

No, you are not going to die. They will just piss you off everytime that you have a outbreak. Tell ya girl to get check to make sure. ya life isn't over. Just be a lil careful now. Try not to get too stress out and over heated because that can cause another outbreak. And rememeber next time to use condoms! Go to the doctor so you can get med to surpress the outbreaks. Just be happy that you don't have aids, hiv, or anything else that can kill your ***!

First of all, you know what we are gonna tell you...LOL...you were cheating on your gf...that was the first strike...it you do cheat why stay in a relationship...& in Vegas?...and they told you they were clean come on boy...think about this? its your health you are playing with...its like a knife telling you Im not sharp...you dont know about these grls...so now you got the herpes virus...Don't go blaming your gf for this one until you know for sure...go to the dr they have oral meds to take care of it. With this virus, you need to be careful to not spread the virus and you will have outbreaks like genital warts all over you.. Its gonna be a rough road. Good Luck you need to see the dr to make sure .....
