Back in my home town where I just came back from visiting they just opened up a new Mexican restaurant called El Saltos. I was sceptical because the only good Mexican restaurant there that I ever knew of was El Taco Real. The chili rellenos was wonderful and they had great margaritas.

Honestly, I would have to say we have some of the BEST Mexican food in my hometown. It's probably because I live in San Diego, CA which is so close to Mexico. We have a large Mexican population that has really richened our culture.

I love Mexican food, especially the food here! It's definitely different from other area's Mexican food. I love the fish tacos, California Burritos, and fresh Carne Asada :)

YUM!

Here in Tucson, AZ , we have TONS of them !! Too many to list.
A few of my favs are El Guerlo Canelo, Mi Nidito, El Charro, Casa Del Rio.
Or, you can drive about an hour and be in Mexico to get some good food.

the only kind of Mexican food I've had is from Taco Bell and the kind I've made in my own house. It's very good but I don't think it's very authentic, being as,I'm not Mexican.

Oh yes, Napa Valley is full of those not fancy-schmancy restaurants. Lots of little "hole-in-the-wall" type places. Our favorite is Tres Hermanos in downtown Napa. One platter of anything will feed you for a couple days!
