A fajita is composed from grilled meats, vegetables, dressings (like guacamole) and eaten by rolling up in warmed tortillas with bean and rice on the side. Pretty much finger food.
A Buritto is a large tortilla, filled with meats, vegetables, cheese, dressings, beans, and or rice, and rolled up tight then steamed. Can be eaten with the fingers but is usually too big - fork and knife area here.

BURRITO (burr-EE-toe):
A large (10") flour tortilla filled with any number of concoctions including beans, beef, pork-then sealed by tucking the ends under. They can be eaten like this or topped with salsa, lettuce, tomato, cheese, or guacamole. If fried, they are now called CHIMICHANGAS. In many parts of the country, they pass off the "burrito" as a BREAKFAST wanna be !! I think the "Arches" people did this cute number as most people still associate a TACO as a hard or crisp Mexican dish. In Texas, you better know the difference between a BURRITO and a TACO, or you will get the CHORIZO-as they say!!

FAJITA (fah-HEE-ta):
Skirt steak. Most associate 'fajita' with a taco or the strips of meat that go into the taco. Beef skirt steaks come from the outer covering of the breast near where the 'brisket" comes from. There are only 2 'skirts' per cow, and it wasn't that long ago that meat processing plants ground this up with the scraps as burger. It is a highly flavorful cut of meat as a result of the loose fat membrane that 'burns' off when cooked properly.

SOFT TACO: a warm, soft, flour tortilla filled with seasoned ground beef (or chicken or pork), crisp, shredded lettuce, and real cheddar cheese. BURRITO: a warm, soft, flour tortilla wrapped around hearty beans (or chicken or beef or pork), real cheddar cheese, tangy red sauce, and diced onions. Basically, the differences are that beans usually don't make an appearance in tacos but are a very popular and common ingredient in burritos and tacos are a folded tortilla with stuff in it, top and sides open while a burrito is rolled and with no openings or only one end opened.

A fajita refers in Tex-Mex cuisine, to grilled meat served on a flour tortilla with condiments. Popular meats are beef, chicken, pork and shrimp. They are often cooked with onions and bell peppers. Popular condiments are sour cream, guacamole, salsa, pico de gallo, cheese, and tomato. In restaurants, the fajita meat is traditionally brought to the table sizzling loudly on a metal platter or skillet, with the tortillas and condiments served on the side.

A burrito is a Mexican dish usually consisting of a meat such as beef, chicken, or pork as well as other ingredients such as rice, beans, and salsa. The ingredients are then wrapped in a large flour tortilla that has been lightly grilled. the meat is usually minced unlike the stripes used for a Fajita! Another burrito dish is where u place the filled burrito in a deep dish and pour tomato sauce and chees and bake under the grill!

a fajitas is sauteed veggies and meat you put in a flour tortilla, like a taco. a burrito has rice and bean, or other fillings, wrapped into a large tortilla like a envelope. the burrito is called that because the Mexican people could carry their whole meal inside, rice, beans and meat, thus the meaning little burro.
