If you have health insurance, you may want to try their patient care nurse (different companies call them differently). Diabetes is a manageable disease. As a cost containment measure, most health insurance companies have a department devoted to helping their clients who have the illness to maintain and improve their health. They are very helpful. I am Type II. My insurance company's nurse representative (CIGNA) calls me monthly to check up on my progress. I also get regular mailings informing me of the latest about the disease. Good luck.
