must have chemo, used his own bone marrow for a transplant; seemed to be doing well, except they failed to give him steroids after the treatments..........now he has pneumonia or fluid in his lungs. Presently they are giving him steroids & oxygen. What can be done?

Steriods are an anti inflamatory, they will reduce the inflamation and allow them to drain the fluid build up from the lungs.

You may wan't to look for an informed second opionion at this point.

I would call the State Medical Board and ask for their first recommendation for someone who specializes in Leukemia.

I would then web search this doc.

Get the Most informed and current help you can.

Steriods will buy you time.

My heart goes out to you. I can only recommend How to Prevent and Treat Cancer with Natural Medicine by Mike Murray, and Beating Cancer With Nutrition, by Pat Quillen for the excellent advice and information they give. Many alternative sources are listed and discussed.
Good luck and God bless!
