It is very small, about 3 inches across and 2 1/2 inches high and it is tiger-striped with gold and rust colors. The stripes look much like watermelon stripes. I cut it open and it smells like canalope. I was told it is from the Middle East. Anybody know the name for this melon? I have already looked through images on Ask.com. and couldn't find it. Thanks

I finally found out what this melon is called. It was on the www.victoryseeds.com website. It is called a "plum granny" or "Queen Anne's Pocket" melon because it is fragrant and small and people carried them to mask body odor! It has a smooth surface and ivory flesh inside.

It sounds like a Queen Anne's Pocket . I ate them before cause my aunt went to a farm and ate some, and told me its the best kind of melon in the world. So, I went to the Farmer's market, and tried some. They are absolutely deelish!
