A cold cannot enter the body through the feet. You also can't get a cold from being cold. Colds are caused by germs or viruses that enter the body through an opening. Body aches are common in colds, the flu, pneumonia, sepsis (infections of the blood), and diseases like measles, mumps, chicken pox, etc.

The human body can only sustain life at a certain temperature. If you took a temperature and it was even 2 degrees below 98.6 (normal temp) you would be considered to have hypothermia (a life threatening condition).

Shortness of breath along with the symptom you describe sound most like pneumonia. Whoever is experiencing the illness should be seen by a doctor right away.

hypothermia is not a temp of two degrees below normal. many people have varying body temps. 98.6 is just an average and normal body temps range from 96.0 degrees to 99.0 degrees depending on the person. a temp below 90.0 degrees is an indicator of hypothermia.
i agree with the answer that it does sound suspicious of pneumonia and you need to see a doctor right away.
