Over the counter pain relief has had no effect. The consultant neurologist I saw prescribed a small dose of Nortriptyline for the pain but it is also an anti-depressant and made me feel nervous and out of control.

I forgot to say that I had an eye test which showed I had excellent vision and no need for glasses. I had blood tests too which showed nothing unusual.

sounds like you have an underlying problem could be stress or unforgiveness you try to release your anguish and try some aromatherapy. whoever has hurt you you need to forgive them. if it is bills that are overwhelming then if you cant change it leave it alone and make some arrangements. nortriptyline is an anti depressant and i took that it makes you feel like you want to jump off a building, yeah crazy effects. i sugg you forgive whoever you are angry with and watch that pressure subside. cause if they tested already and found nothing you can create an anurism, or blood clot with the stress and anger.

Have any of these doctors run blood tests on you? I have a friend who was having the same problem, finally one of the specialists ran blood tests and found out he was very low in iron, he prescribed medication and the headaches have finally stopped. Just a suggestion you might ask your doctor about.

Sometimes people have headaches because they are having thoughts that "hurt" and don't want to express them. Write down the worst thoughts you may be have them, try to acknowledge them, first to yourself and then to someone else. If you have been storing this kind of energy for a while, it may take some time to fully express them. But whatever the matter is, congratulations on your MRI results!

That is certainly not normal. If your doctor can find no cause, get a second opinion. Or third, or fourth.

I too, just went for a problem I was having, after several tests, and scans, my 5th doctor, found the problem and I am starting to recover.

Please go for another opinion.

Try cold water, as in dunking your head in a bucket of cold water, or running cold water over your head; and stay out of the sun and bright light as much as possible. Also I have found that lots of soymilk, calcium fortified has worked on my pain of various kinds

You probably suffer from migranes. I've had terrible headaches for weeks at a time, and I have severe migranes. There are some good medications, check with your doctor! I feel for ya, it sucks!

Did you have an eye exam? Even though you may think you see ok, your eyes could be straining without you knowing it.
