I'm female, heterosexual and in my mid-twenties in a stable relationship and its just started to dawn on me exactly how stupid I was at college- I had unprotected sex (without condom) around seven or eight times, some of those with people I didn't know too well. Although I've no symptoms I've recently started to get really worried that I may have contracted something nasty through my stupidity. I know I should get tested, but I'm really frightened. Realistically speaking, what's the likelihood of having something serious or untreatable?

Statistically speaking, the chances of you having contracted anything are reasonably small. The chance is still there though! Some STD's don't show any symptoms until it's too late.

Take yourself along to the clinic, many offer a no appointment free policy whereby you can just go on a certain morning for a screening. There really is nothing to worry about going into the clinic - when I went to the drop in (just to set my mind at ease) there were people form literally every walk of life, male and female from 14 to 70. The staff are friendly and professional and you'll get the results within a week.

Do it. It'll stop you worrying and you can get on with your life!

There is a list of clinics here: http://www.bashh.org/directory.asp

what's your question? you're taking of venture by way of having intercourse with absolutely everyone. STD's are so user-friendly now, quite the quite undesirable ones like herpes! No treatment! Condoms are not continuously the respond, the two. Legalize prostitution, alter it. could help end the unfold somewhat.

Being honest you could have something, not all STD's have symptoms (theres more on that list than just HIV!!!!) Get yourself checked, I know its scary, but its better than not knowing. The doctor will tell you about it and cures and stuff.

There is a chance you could have something, but a chance you wont.

I hope for you you don't, but, if you do that it isn't serious.

Your partner should be tested also.
