My friends and I have decided to raise money for Breast cancer research. National Breast Cancer Awareness Month is in October. We are High School Students and are dedicated to this plan. We have decidedto make ribbons with magnets on the back that all students can stick on the outside of their lockers all throughout the month of october. Also we are thinking of asking our school principal if we could do a "think pink" day where everyone pays 1 dollar to wear any peice of pink clothing. We would like to know if you have any other ideas for us to raise money. However, the objects that we sell must be made by us NOT store bought, please help!

You can get pink and white beads and string them on elastic string. You can also get little pink ribbons to put on them. Pink keychains would be easy to make too. Have you thought about a yard sale or some type of sale where you and your classmates can donate the clothes you don't wear or the books you don't want anymore?

There is also a site called The Breast Cancer Site where sponsors pay for a portion of a mammogram every day when you click. It's thebreastcancersite.com if you are interested. It's a really easy way to help every day, all year long.

You and your friends should be very proud! How nice it is that high school kids are getting involved in worthy causes. Both my sister and I had breast cancer and I must say, it warms my heart to see younger people get involved. You might want to go on the Susan B. Komen breast cancer sight, there is a lot of very good information on this sight. On behalf of my sister and I and all the breast cancer survivors, THANK YOU!!!!!!

It's nice to see highschoolers doing such a thing for a good cause. How about baked goods at lunch time, or make little treat bags, but this could be costly, what about braclets or pink yarn twisted or braided together, get some plastic gem or the slogan for brest cancer to put on them.

Put together a cookbook with recipes from breast cancer victims. Put some pictures in there, too, maybe of pics of them running a race or after their hair has fallen out during chemo, etc...
