I've been vegetarian for 27 years, and I cannot imagine ever eating dead animals again!

My daughter and son-in-law are vegan and have been for a long time - I'm not sure about my son-in-law, but my daughter has been vegetarian for 18 years and vegan for 13 years. My husband eats a little meat, but he knows how much it disgusts me, so he doesn't bring raw meat into the house, just things like Healthy Choice dinners, and sometimes he'll order meat at a restaurant. I wish he wouldn't (I want him to be healthy!), but it's his decision.

I think being vegetarian has made my life much happier and healthier. But I don't try to tell anyone else what to eat - not my business.

I have been vegetarian for about 10 years and I am very happy with my decision.

I am a vegetarian who eats dairy products and eggs so I have many choices of what to eat.

I think one of the benefits of being vegetarian is that it makes you more sensitive to all life forms and their right to life - in other words, it makes you a more caring, compassionate person.

10 years, love it

No dairy, organic free range eggs are ok.
I hate cows.
I don't want any mammals in me.

I eat wild-caught sea creatures, though. I think after a while you gotta give into that or risk dining on mammals.

Besides, I can kill a fish. Can't imagine slicing a cows throat and then eating its leg. I can imagine being its freind, though.

Prepare to get sick and tired of explaining why you don't eat flesh.

22 years & counting.

Its hard being Veggie in South Africa. The food is much more expensive than steaks & you get some 'odd' looks from the okes in Sports Bars esp the Sports Cafe in the V&A, Cape Town.

I've been a vegan for 18 years. It has kept me healthy and happy and energized all that time. I still have more energy than people much younger than myself.
