You can still spread any HPV virus even if you use a condom. You can definately have sex, and enjoy your life with him all the same. Even if there are no symtoms of the virus it is almost always in your sys. If you don't show symtoms for years chances are you do still have the virus. It goes dormant but the virus will always remain. Oh and you're right your boy probably does have it, he needs to be tested to find out. He may not shows signs for some time.
Take care

You have to remember there are many types of HPV. If you have the kind that can cause cancer, you'll want to do your pap smear often. Your doctor should be able to tell you which kind of HPV you have and how often you should do a pap test depending on that. Most likely if you have the warty kind, it may not be the cancerous type. HPV can never go away. You and your bf may not need to wear a condom since you both have the same HPV already. Talk to your doctor. He/she knows more about this stuff then us here. Best of luck.

a doc can u give u better answers than any of us here can. just use condoms from now on to be on the safe side because u'll always have the virus; whether or not it's dormant & for how long is another story.

Truth is that it will never be gone. My advice is for you to have safe sex. Just continuing taking whatever medication that you need to take, and all will be fine with you, and this way it will be under control.
