STD Notification such as increase and decrease.
For example if you study this on a graph. Does this mean that if the STD Notification is increased it refers to the increase of STD? or maybe decrease in STD?

It implies that a notice is given to the above authorities that such a case has been picked up in the area. Once a disease has been given the status of being notified, contact tracing becomes a must so that all contacts are traced out and are subjected to proper treatment after thorough investigations.
