Some say that once a jar is opened it should be refrigerated but in the case of peanut butter I have never put it in refrigerator as it makes it to hard to spread on the bread and always manages to tear the bread when trying to spread it. So it is better to keep it at room temp around 75 degrees with the lid on tight and you will get good results when making a sandwich

peanut butter only needs to be refridgerated it its the all natural kind. And that also needs to be stirred before consuming because the oil separates from the spread.
Most jars of peanut butter do not require refridgeration.

No.
The lack of moisture in peanut bitter protects it from growing nasty molds or germs.

Usually not but if you read the label on the jar it will tell you whether or not it needs to be refrigerated.

you can or you cant. it really doesnt matter. i dont like to refrigerate it because ive found that its creamier and easier to spread at room temperature. but some people like cold pb so they stick in in the fridge.
