Healthy. If you where in better shape it would be lower though.
Ya, and what Dr. Dan said, you meant per minute, or you're dead.

1st of all i would imagine that you are stating that your heart rate is 68 bpm, 'cause otherwise as a colleague said, you would have to be a hummingbird
Since the regular Heart beat is between 60-100 and it varies allot depending on activity, what you can do is a formula to calculate the maximum heart beats during exercise.
This formula will tell you how many beats per minute should your heart rate be during strenuous exercise, its 220 - age in your case it should be 220 - 18 = 202

daweeney is wrong. I cannot believe she is a registered nurse. Maybe she misunderstood your question.
68 beats per second translates into 4080 beats per minute (68 * 60) There are 60 seconds in one minute.
Do you realize how fast that is? I don't believe anyone can survive that.
Many people who are very fit have a resting heartbeat of about 50 per minute. People who have high blood pressure can have higher counts. Excercise raises the heatbeat also. However, no one will survive 4080 beats per minute. Ask your doctor if you don't believe me.
68 beats per minute is good.

68 per minute is great.
I have 68/minute...used to be 60/minute...but I'm 36 now.....
68 is just fine, even at 18. Anything much lower than 60 isn't good.

That is a perfectly healthy rate for an 18 year old.
Additional endurance exercise will strengthen your cardiovascular system and you will be able to measure that with a decrease in your resting heart rate.
After biking several hours a day for a couple years, I had gotten my resting heart rate just before sleep or just before rising down to 48-52 beats per min.
