Within a few days. You want your corn to have green husks and not brown dried ones. Also, check to make sure the kernels juicy. If you squeeze one open, you want it to be milky.

Place unhusked corn in a brown paper grocery bag and it will stay fresher longer . You can also freeze corn for up to 9-12 months in the freezer this way.Just make sure bag stays closed .This is how we keep ours from the garden taste real fresh .
