I only eat chicken, fish, dairy, fruits and veggies. I'm not sure what the differance between a vegan and a vegetarian is. I'm not into labels but people keep asking what I am so.... What do ya think? Answers with sources would be greatly appericated.

I am the same as you - no red meat. I don't think we have a special name! I only eat fish once a week and chicken maybe once a month the rest of the time it's lentils and tofu meat. I do eat dairy products. I don't think I have to call myself a label - I can just eat what I like and so can you. If you are offered red meat you can just say "I don't eat red meat thanks". If pressed for an explanation you can just say you don't care for it. No other explanation required.
You said you wanted sources so I am including an interesting web page I found. I won't bother with a definition of vegan and vegetarian since that has already been accurately answered by others.

You are pretty close to what's called pescaterian, if you would like a special word. If you didn't eat chicken, but only veggies, dairy, eggs, and fish you'd be a pescaterian.

No, you're not vegetarian. Vegetarians don't eat meat of any animal.

Vegetarian is a general term for many varieties of dietary preferances:
Vegan = no animal products
Lacto -vegetarian = no animal products, but milk is OK
Lacto-ovo-vegetarian = no animal products, but milk and eggs are OK.

All vegans, lact-vegetarians, lacto-ovo-vegetarians are generally called vegeratians.

Pescaterian - no meat or poultry, fish is OK, eggs and milk is OK
(There are different opinions as on where honey-eating puts us)
You can say "I don't eat red meat" I don't think there is a special word for it, though.

Chicken and Fish are meat. So no, you're not a vegetarian. You're just a selective eater.

Vegans use no animal products what so ever. Vegan is a lifestyle not a diet. Vegans don't eat eggs, or drink milk. No honey. No leather, no wool - because animals are exploited for these.

Vegans eat nothing that comes from animals - no meat, no eggs, no milk.

If you eat chicken I don't think you're even a vegetarian. I'm pretty sure that vegetarians lump chickens into the same category as cows. If you just don't eat cows and pigs, you're just not eating RED meat.

Eat what you like and what you're comfortable eating - and if people ask what you are, tell them you're a human being and you eat to survive. It's really none of anyone else's business what you eat.

you're a chicken, fish, dairy, fruits and veggies eater.

a vegetarian, generally, doesn't eat anything that will try to run away from them... no chicken or fish. although it's a free country, you can call yourself what you want.

a vegan does not eat dairy or eggs, anything that comes from animals.

I also try not to eat animal gelatin, but it's hardly ever distinguished on food packaging... that should change, because a lot of gelatin is from animals. and I don't get to eat gummy bears, just in case. also, you have to check the packaging or you'll end up eating cow grease, lard, etc.

Chicken is an animal. Therefore you aren't a vegetarian. If you give up chicken and fish you can be a vegetarian. If you give up chicken, fish, cheese and dairy you can be a vegan.

Your an normal person who doesn't like beef or pork. Though I don'tunderstand how people can go through life and never have that craving for a big juicy american hamburger . . . Delicious!

A vegan doesn't eat any animal or animal products--no eggs, milk, etc. they think that milking a cow or taking a chicken's egg to feed humans is cruel or wrong.

A vegitarian doesn't eat chicken, though some eat fish. According to them, it is wrong to eat an animal, though some make an exception for fish because as we know, fish don't feel any pain.

No, you're not. Vegetarians don't eat meat. You eat chicken and fish, which are in fact meats. Vegans eat no animal products whatsoever. No meat, no dairy, no eggs, etc.

There are three basic types of vegetarian. Ovolactovegetarians eat eggs (ovo) and milk products (lacto) as well as fruit and veg, because they are products that animals give us without dying. There are also those who will eat milk products but not eggs, and vice versa.
Vegans won't eat any animal products at all, including honey; nothing at all of animal origin.
Personally I think veganism is too extreme.

Vegans eat nothing made from animal products.
They don't eat dairy, eggs, or cheese.
Vegetarians eat no flesh - mammal, fish, or shellfish or cheese made with retin.
You are an ova-lactarian chicken and fish eater.
but it's a beginning!
