You need enough time to be able to get out and get some exercise. An hour or so a day at least to keep you in good physical condition. Also, you need time to spend with friends and meet people in the real world versus the virtual world. You need to keep up with and develop your person to person interaction skills (will help you a lot in your future and career). You don't need to give up the computer, but take more time out for other interests and friends. Don't put a timer on the break, just do something else for a while and go back to the computer later.

It's bad for your eyes and will decrease your vision. A proper break would be at least 15-30 mins.

your dad is right to give oyu that option...you shouldn't be on the ocmputer all day its not healthy, you should be out gettign some exercise and fresh air... if you insist on using the computer alot then you should try ot take a break form it to stretch and get some fresh air eveyr hour.... i work on a computer all day.. as do all of my collegues.. and the other daya ctually.. a collegue told me that in fact.. people with desk jobs file for worker's compensation MORE than peopel with otehr types of jobs... this is becuase tis unhealthy fro our bosies to be only 2 or 3 positons all day..

hey hey ..don't be frustrated man!! i can still answer your question. well, your dad's kind of right, coz if you stick to it, you'll soon become an addict, and you never ever want to leave it again. so take breaks, and by the way, since u asked ur question in food, i would say eat a few vegetables while u're working..
haha
Cheers!!!

At least 15 minutes, but dad probably means most of the day. Maybe it would be best to ask him?

depends on how long you sit in front of the computer. 10-20 mins every hour and a half should be enough...
but i'd recomend NOT sitting so much in front of the screen in the first place.

The Awful Truth is that when you own the house and pay the bills, you get to make the rules.

When you have your OWN place, you can do as you please...which is very exciting!
