A woman may not know she has HIV and may still have it - this is why diseases spread - people don't get tested and are unaware and uneducated.

There is not only HIV - there are tons of STDs that are not curable and can even be fatal if not discovered (like syphilis). This is why getting tested before and after every sexual partner is so important. Also, there is a window from the time of HIV infection to when it actually will show as postive - 3-6 months and in some cases even longer. That is why they say if you think you have been at risk, you should get tested once after having intercourse and again a few months later - so there is no question.

Most STDs(HPV aka genital warts, herpes etc) do not and most often do not have ANY symptoms. This is also why there are sooo many people who spread them and get infected - they do not know. There are also some people - even with HIV that lie and say they don't have it and don't care and have unprotected sex and spread it - committing murder or manslaugher essentially.

So - most STDs show no symptoms and you can't see them - lots of people think you would be able to see them and that just is not true - you have to get tested to find out for sure.

Oral sex can spread HIV (because it is a bofu fluid going into a mucous membrance - your mouth or if she had a cut (ie razor) and you had chapped open lips, it would be blood to blood) Even drugs users who snort drugs and share straws can get HIV or hepatitis b/c if the straw has blood on it and you put it into your nose (a mucous membrane), you can get infected - these are things that people do not think of until it is too late. So yes you could get HIV, herpes, genital warts (cause she can spread both of these to you orally and then if you touch your mouth and then penis, you could spread it urself. Although oral herpes and genital herpes are two different simplexes, they can be spread from genitals to mouth and vice versa. There are many others you could get too.

They make products designed for safe sex like dental dams and something like sex saran wrap but that can be awkward, obviously so your best bet is to get tested with her for all STDs just to be certain and that way you wouldn't have to worry.

Be safe!

HIV is passed through semen and blood and can also be passed through needles also you never know who is healthy just because a person may appear healthy. A person can be Hiv positive right at this moment and take a test at this moment and it can come back negative and six months down the line come back positive with another test. This is why medical professionals advise to get this test done every six months. Also statistics show that 1 in 3 are HIV positive I know that sounds wierd but true.
I hope this helped a little

first to assure that the both of you are HIV negative you would need an HIV test taken 6 months after the very first test so! she and and you if new in a relationship i would recommend using a dental dam (a mouth condom for the virginal oral sex) always this assures you are safe from gonorrhea ,syphilis, trichamonis and most sexually transmitted diseases

No. How could you possibly think you would contract an infectious disease from someone who isn't infected? If that was the case, everyone would have HIV.

If she is not infected, then there's no chance of catching it from her, but you may catch it from someone else.
