cos they have to save money somewhere so usually the lunch specials are prepared in bulk and sold with obvious compromise to quality

Crappy Restaurants .. you have been in some!!!!

Fried rice is so typical and they should know how to prepare some good ones for their customers. Pick the good restaurants and boycott the crappy ones!

Here in Hong Kong, we have a lot of ones!

The fried rice at lunch is the leftovers. It has meat bits and veggie bits and lots of grease from the grill.

If you don't want crappy fried rice, you can ask for fresh cooked white rice. It's healthier without the oil.

my experence is that all rice in american Chinese restaurants suck! Instead of good short grain, they always use horrid long grain that you cannot pick up with the chopsticks!

Yeah!! Why DO they do that? OR Why do they give you ONE container of rice for 3 orders??? I think they cheat on that one!
