Love is allowing your self and feelings to become vulnerable to someone else over whose actions you have no control; caring for their wellbeing AS IF FOR YOUR OWN without hope or expectation of recieving anything of the like in return. So far, it seems, only God's managed to pull this one off.

U r right love is greater than mom, dad, god, nature. And similar is peace. Success is success and failure if failure, succees once achieved we move on, failure achieved, we learn and move on to take action again. What kills a person is person's thinking, the weak mind. Which is okay, we r here to realise who we are and that is possible only when we master over our mind, body and that is possible only when opportunities like failure arrive. They show us the weaknesses and only when we see them can we work over them.
"Kills the person", it is very good, as the cells in our body are replaced by the new cells, similarily the cells/ideas of our's about us should change/die. So if u the idea that u r - failur is dying then celebrate, as the new u is emerging. Peace be bestowed on u. AMEN
Love

Love is not something that u can compare with God, Mom & Dad.of course God is the Greatest.but love is something that make u connect to God, Mom & Dad & make u be kind to ur parent & ur love. & again u can't compare it with peace cuz sometimes this is live that makes peace but between the things that u can compare with love, love is the greatest & i also understand ur situation; I hope you succeed.

I agree with you and find myself in that situation as well. However, Love will keep you from doing the wrong things. It took me 40 years of age to understand what unconditional love is, and the person I wanted to share it with, wasn't interested, even after she had said she loved me. I am not religious, very spiritual, and am not a Christian, brought up Jewish, and believe in God but not religion and always willing to learn. I will write the part of the bible that kept me from doing stupid things then, try to not do stupid things now, but still looking for peace. Hopefully, this will help you:
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. I always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preseveres. Love, never fails.....
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."
Keep searching my friend, you are not alone. We can chose to love each other, or hate. Love will help you. Take care.

Love is a vast etherical entity of major positive force that draws upon every element within our basically negative hearts to join with it....It is the feelings that we experience that humans call love--but these are only the bi-product of the drawing in--we can not truely know Love itself and live as humans it would be simply put---too much

There is no real answer to this question but what I have learned of what love is to me and that is the word LOVE itself holds the answer.......
(L)isten: and Validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.
