Bananas are fine anything is fine in moderation. Diabetics need to eat like every person needs to eat but probably doesn't. You need a well rounded healthy meal plan that includes fruits (yes I said fruits sugar and all), veggies, protein and CARBS. Carbs and sugar are not the enemy but over indulging can be. Bananas are great for diabetes because they help keep your potassium levels good (unless you have abnormally high potassium then you doctor may tell you to back off for a bit). My husband usually eats two bananas before playing basketball because it helps him from getting calf cramps and keeps his energy level up - it causes no problems with his glucose levels as long as he is on top of things.
Obviously if you are Type II and your glucose is elevated you shouldn't be eating anything high in sugar/carbs until you stabilize your levels but by no means should you ever cut out fruits from your diet they contain many beneficial nutrients.
Moderation with EVERYTHING is key.

Besides Banana, Mango and Apple Custard are also not safe for diabetics. These fruits are relatively very rich in sugar and cause sugar level to go up when taken by diabetics.

Bananas contain a lot of potassium & they will protect everyone from heart attacks. They are very good for diabetics in moderation (think 1/2 a banana as a serving). You can peel & slice ripe bananas & freeze them in a plastic baggie. They are ready to make smoothies or put on oatmeal.

Bananas are high in sugar and carbs.
However, eating them in moderation is not a problem. I just took a small banana, low sodium V-8 juice and a 1/2 cup of almonds on my way home from work realizing I did not have a mid-day meal; I felt better after I ate these things.

This is absolutely not true. Unless, you are a diabetic whose sugar goes down too low. Bananas are recommended to bring your sugar level up.

yes and no... bananas have alot of natural sugars in them which will cause bsl's to be raised quickly, so if ur diabetic you shouldnthave a heap of bananas at once because ur levels will get high but if ur levels are low having a few bananas will help raise them back up again

For diabetic patients normally doctors advice to take dietician's help for all daily intakes,to have good control of blood sugar. This is in addition to medicines, exercises etc.
The food advised is based on the prevailing individual's health & it is worked out as calories.
The calory value of bananas, mangoes are quite high. Hence to maintain required daily calory intake they are not recommended.
Best way is to overcome the health problem by good control with lots of self discipline & strictly following the doctor's advice.
