Something I was always thinking about. Does anyone ever realize how many people don’t tell the people they have sex with that they have a incurable STD? Such as HPV, HIV, ect.

Anyway, I was just joking around one day and OBVEISULY this will never happen but I was thinking, How would the transmission rates of these incurable STDs go down, if you had to get a REQUIRED (by court order) tattoo on a possible place you could contract that virus (of course you would have to be tested and test positive on the test). I'd make telling your screw buddy a lot easier wouldn't it?

And for the people that say I'm an ***, I have HSV -1, so I would have it tattooed on my FACE.

FYI, I asked this in the dating section as well, because I want to see if I get different responses.

well that would be a little harsh and an invasion of privacy to have it court ordered. and i dont think it would necessarily make it easier... if you had a tattoo on your face people may begin to discriminate against you and not just in deciding to have a relationship with you, but in general.

a lot of people today are still under the impression that you can contract hiv just by hugging them, so imagine if they HAD TO get a tattoo stating such.

also there may be a cure one day, so if you get the tattoo and they come up with a cure now you have to get laser surgery and are the courts going to pay for that, doubtful.

also what about other family illness that can be passed down if you have kids, should you get a court order for a tattoo stating bipolar disorder runs in my family, or diabetes, or heart disease, etc...??

....so yea it is difficult to tell your partner about your status, whatever it may be (HPV, HIV, HSV, etc) but it is important to gain a new perspective on the illness and your sex life. if your partner means something to you, you will tell them and most likely they will be ok with it and protect themselves. if not, then maybe they dont really care about the person inside, just the physical.

And so what's the question?
The idea is cool with me..
and by the way...I can't help it...I ain't perfect in spelling either,
but if you capitalize each and every letter...OBVEISULY...that's one heck of a word, dude...it's obviously (root word: obvious+ suffix: ly). You are welcome.. ..and feel free to correct me, too.
